Santa’s Grotto Event

On Wednesday the 14th of December, EZ Living Furniture in Limerick held a morning with Santa Clause for the children of the Catherine McAuley School.

The event kicked of at 10:30am and ran until 2pm. There were 90 children in attendance who all got to see Santa Clause, and each received a free present.

While waiting to see Santa, there were activities in store for the children such as face painting and nail art for the girls, which the children loved. Santa was joined by three of his helpers and Joe the clown was there on the day to entertain the children.

The event was a great success for everyone involved. We at EZ Living Furniture would like to thank everyone who helped to organise the event as well as everyone who entered the raffle, which enabled us to give each child a present.

Santa’s Grotto: A Morning with Santa Clause

Visiting Santa is a joyous and memorable experience for any child, that’s why on the 14^th of December 2011 between 11-1pm, EZ Living Furniture on the Ballysimon Road in Limerick, is having a morning with Santa Clause for the children of the Catherine McAuley School, which caters for students who are experiencing difficulties in conventional education.

Santa and his helpers will be there to entertain the children; activities will include balloon animals, Santa’s Grotto, nail art for the girls, face painting and plenty of Christmas jingles in store.

We are holding a raffle to raise money for presents, which will be given to the children on the day. Please support this event to make it a great day for the children of the Catherine McAuley School. Donations to the school are also welcomed.

The Beneficiary:

The Catherine McAuley School was established in 1961 by the Mercy Sisters in Limerick as a response to the perceived needs for a minority of students who were experiencing difficulties in mainstream education. The first class of 12 students, was taught in a single room in St John's Primary School. A purpose-built school was built on the beautiful grounds of Westbourne Convent and opened in 1979. By the mid 1980's there were over two hundred students in the school.

The development of the whole person is integral to the school philosophy and consequently subjects like religious education, art, drama, physical education and social education are also on the curriculum for each student.
